1. Psychiatric or Psychological disorders are medical illnesses which has a physiological or genetic causation when there is no scientific data to confirm any mental illness. The very concept of mental illness is flawed and unscientific. Mental illnesses do not exist in the same sense as physical illnesses do. The idea that mental illnesses are medical diseases is a fraud suggested to the public who does not have adequate information about mind or brain. Emil Kraepelin considered to be the founder of modern Psychiatry wrote, “it is true that in the strictest terms, we cannot speak of the mind as becoming diseased”. The famous Psychiatrist, Dr. Fuller Torrey, in his book, “The Death of Psychiatry” (1974), said “The very term (‘mental disease’) is nonsensical, a semantic mistake. The two words cannot go together except metaphorically, you can no more have a purple idea or a wise space.” (Page No. 36)

2. The myth that mental disorders are caused by bio-chemical imbalances when in reality this is not a scientifically established fact. In his  book     Blaming  The Brain: The Truth About Drugs And Mental Health DR Elliot S Valenstein Ph.D Professor Emeritus  of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan said " Contrary to what is often claimed ,no biochemical anatomical or functional signs have been found that reliably distinguish the brains of mental patients.''

3. Psychiatric drugs are specific treatments for specific illnesses when in reality psychiatry drugs are only "Brain Disabling drugs" as the dissident psychiatrist Dr.Peter Breggin aptly said in his books.

4. The Himalayan Blunder that Clinical psychological Treatment is mere counseling and imparting ready made advises to people when in reality psychological treatment is the only treatment method which is strongly built in the foundations of Experimental psychology of Learning and conditioning methods if properly applied is not harmful and at the same time very effective for cooperative patients in any clinical conditions.

5. The myth that psychiatric diagnosis is accurate and that there are medical tests to diagnose mental illnesses when in reality no such tests exists in psychiatry as the public is misinformed. As Harward -trained psychiatrist Dr. Loren R. Mosher said in 1998 "there are no external validating criteria for psychiatric diagnoses. There is neither a blood test nor specific anatomic lesions for any major psychiatric disorder".

These are the cardinal delusions (false beliefs) which Dr. Joseph Isaac is going to challenge in the ensuing pages.

“Nothing has harmed the quality of individual life in modern society, more than the misbegotten belief that human suffering is driven by biological and genetic causes and can be rectified, by taking drugs or undergoing electroshock therapy. Modern psychiatry has made up the most ugly story possible about human conflicts and emotional pain – reducing it to nothing more than bad genes and unbalanced chemical reactions. If I wanted to ruin some ones life, I would convince the person, that biological psychiatry is right – that relationships mean nothing, that choice is impossible and that the mechanics of a broken brain reign over our emotions and  conduct . If I wanted to impair an individual’s capacity, to create empathic loving relationships, I would prescribe psychiatric drugs, all of which blunt our highest psychological and spiritual functions.”
